A question to rec.arts.movies folks:

The film "American Graffiti" ends with pictures of the main characters
from (ostensibly) a high school year book and text that tells us what
happened to them after the film/where they are now.

What other films can people think of that end in a similar fashion?
Email answers, please. There is no prize, but in case of a judge,
duplicate ties will be awarded. Thanks!

Animal House: Blutarsky - becomes a Senator
D-Day - whereabouts unknown
Niedermier - shot in Viet Nam by own troops
Can't remember the all the rest

Docudramas like The Onion Field often do "where are they now" stuff

I know somebody mentioned "Animal House", but there is a follow-up beyond
that. In John Landis' segment of "Twilight Zone" (the Vietnam part), one
of the soldiers makes some reference to fragging Lt. Niedermayer.

Best thing about that segment. I think I was the only one in the theater
who got it, 'cause the rest of the audience stared at me for laughing.

I was wondering if any one else noticed that in the movie, "The Twilight
Zone: The Movie", there is a scene where some (Vietnam) troops are moving
through a swamp listening to Jimi Hendrix, when all of sudden they start
shooting at "the enemy". After several seconds, the firing stops, and one
of the troops says, "Hey guys, I think we just shot Lt. Niedermeir!

Just recently I saw both "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" and "Animal House", each of which have the ending you are looking for. Also, a really bad movie called "Screwball Hotel" with no one famous in it whatsoever ends in this fashion.

Did anyone else notice, that at the very, very, very, very end
of the Blues Brothers (at least in the theater), there is a quick promotional
ad for the studio which reads

"When in Hollywood, visit Universal Studios."

Then, just before the screen goes dark and the soundtrack music
fades out, the following appears near the bottom of the picture:

"(Ask for Babs)"

Is this Babs a real person, or was it just part of a running
joke? :-)
