I asked a week ago, so far not one answer. Maybe nobody understood it?

I gave the answer on the other thread and have seen it other places. In brief:

Jamie Lee was presenting at another awards ceremony two weeks back
(Directors Guild? I dunnp which one) --- anyway, she was presenting with
Jon Lovitz and wore a tight short outfit (what a surprise:)) --- then,
from what I understand, Jon Lovitz reached over and put his hand on her
bare breast (the warm hand as Dave joked). Curtis responded by placing
her hand over his crotch.

That's all I know - the incident sparked some controversey, but wasn't
given much attention outside the Hollywood pages.

That's basically right. It was the American Comedy Awards, I think.
To get more details, refer to Newsweek a couple of weeks back (maybe the
one with Michael Jordan on the cover?)

On some other awards program before the oscars, Jamie and John
Lovitz were at the podium, and I guess, as a joke, he grabbed her breast.
Apparently she didn't find it as funny as he did. I think that she then
grabbed
him somewhere.

Dave's quote was something like, "That's the second warm hand she's received
this year."

If I'm wrong, somebody let me know.

At some previous award show, someone hit Jamie Lee Curtis on the butt.
Jon Lovitz, I think. He was roundly condemned, but he said Curtis told
him to do it. All I know.

That warn't her butt he was cuppin', pardner. And she did turn around
smoothly and quickly to give him a lower cuppin'...They both seemed to
enjoy it.

I saw that, and the timing Curtis and Lovitz displayed was amazing.

Jon (standing off to the side) walked up to Jamie Lee in the middle
of her remarks, and placed his hand on one of her breasts!
The crowd cracked up, and after a long pause, Lovitz strolled to the
mike and said, "I had to do it."
Another pause. Jamie Lee continued her speech for ~ 15 seconds, then
walked over to Lovitz and grabbed his crotch! Dead-on!
Crowd in an uproar; shot of Tony Curtis in the audience, cracking-up.
Jamie Lee resumes, then ~ 15 seconds later, Lovitz _again_ walks to
the mike and says, "You missed."

JL and Jon should be serious candidates for co-hosts of next year's
Oscars (no, not simply on the basis of that recent exchange, but on
their Bizarro-world chemistry and general comedic talents).
Let's have an intelligent, bawdy Oscars for once.
Cut the cute crap, the limp dance numbers and the spinning dogs.
Hire the writers from "Dream On", "Married...with Children" and "The
Critic" to work with the hosts and come up with a general theme or
themes.

...Speaking of breasts, did Patricia Arquette attend the Oscars?
[Interesting actress; still amazed at her "True Romance" performance.]

Both Jamie Leigh and Lovitz claim his putting his hand on her breast
during the Grammys [?] was prearranged -- which makes any criticsm of
Dave's [very funny] joke hypocritical in the extreme.

I read this too. He claims that it was Curtis愀 idea in the first place.
The crotch grabbing was however not in the plan.

It was probably all a devious plot by Lovitz. I saw a photo taken of the
pair just as Jamie Lee grabbed his b***s, and it has to be said that
Lovitz was looking _extremely_ pleased. Then again, who wouldn't?

You are right. But according to both Curtis and Lovitz, Jamie Leigh
planned this bit in advance. Therefore the carping about Dave's remark
being somehow tasteless is hypocritical in the extreme. It was one of many
nicely aimed zingers that night.
