: Stallone. 4 rocky sequels + 2 rambo ones, which beats Ford's total of 5.
Connery and Moore for 007 series.
William Shatner and the gang in 6 Star Trek movies
Whoever played Jason in Friday the 13th series
Etc.

You forgot the Mad Max movies:
1) Mad Max

Not completely sure what are you referring to. But if I understand
correctly, the 'Back To The Future' series should count too, with Michael
J. Fox.

Make sure that you give Harrison Ford credit for "American
Graffiti" and "More American Graffiti". And Mel Gibson gets the Mad Max
films too. But I would guess that tehe correct answer might be Arthur
Lake and Penny Singleton for their 28 Blondie films.

You forgot one! Although I admit it *deserved* to be forgotten:
Harrison Ford also appeared in _American Graffiti_ and, *very* briefly
indeed and in an example of truly staggering loyalty, in its sequel.
Think globally, act locally.

Also don't forget the Mad Max movies.
I think Steve Guttenberg deserves a mention here, if only for the Police
Academy movies.
What about Sigourney Weaver? She was in all the Alien movies....was she in
Ghostbusters II, too?

Yeah, I thought of him, too, but I think there's a difference between
sequels and series. He did 6 Thin Man movies, but it was a series. For
that matter, how about Sean Connery or Roger Moore, since they, too, were
in long-running series. But they weren't sequels. Was Powell in any real
sequels?
I'd almost put forth the name, ugh, Sylvester Stallone:
Rocky I-V (which were really "sequels" since it was basically the same plot
over and over and over).
Rambo I-III
That's 6 sequels, following 2 "original" films.

Has anybody mentined Stallone? 3 "Rambo"s, innumerable "Rocky"s...
Cheers!

What about the BLONDIE series from the '40's and '50's? Arthur Lake
reprised the role of Dagwood Bumstead 28, count'em, 28 times! Penny
Singleton played Blondie just as many times (I think.)
Chester Morris was in 14 BOSTON BLACKIE films in the '40's as Boston
Blackie himself.
That Olympic-medal-winning-stud Johnny Weissmuller was in 12 TARZAN
films in the '30's and '40's.
Johhny Sheffield was in 12 BOMBA THE JUNGLE BOY films in the '30's and
'40's. (He also played Boy in many Tarzan flix.)
I took a film class 2 years ago and the subject of multiple sequels
was breifly discussed. I remember these were some of the more popular.
I think BLONDIE takes the cake!
Over and Out,
Chris Kennedy

Also, I hear Bronson Pinchot is the next Bond. Yuck; I'd prefer to stick with
Dalton. Too bad they couldn't do something unexpected like pick the guy from 4

Hey, how about the James Bond films: Q, M, and Moneypenny -- haven't they
been in most if not all of the films?
Ted
Brosnan IS the next Bond - either that, or Entertainment Tonight
and the entire print and visual media were duped...
Besides, if Pinchot were the next Bond, I could not help
but anticipate him saying "don't be re-dic-u-lus" ;-)

I don't know the names of those actors, but they basically made a career
out of playing the character in all of the sequels.
There were nine Ma and Pa Kettle movies. Ma and Pa Kettle, played by
Marjorie Main and Percy Kilbride were introduced in "The Egg and I" so
technically all of the Kettle movies were sequels.
There were apparently about 20 of the Blondie films; they starred Arthur
Lake and Penny Singleton.
Mickey Rooney starred in fifteen Andy Hardy movies, giving him 14 sequels.
Johnny Weismuller starred in 12 Tarzan movies and 16 Jungle Jim films,
giving him 27 sequels and the current championship (that is, I don't know
anyone with more).

I would nominate the Hopalong Cassidy, played by William Boyd, series of
westerns which I think ran from the '30s upto the '50s and probably eventually
went straight to tv? Though it could be a toss-up between him, Roy Rogers and
Gene Autry?
