Sydney Penny: Whatever happened to her?

Whatever happened to the actress Sydney Penny: she played
the young girl in _The _Thornbirds_ (1983) and was in the
Clint Eastwood moveie _Pale_Rider_ (1985). After that she
was in some SF kids movie (@1986). Since then she doesn't
seem to have been in anything. Although she must have been
just a teenager (or perhaps younger) in the above films, she
was incredibly pretty and I can't believe that she just
stopped being an actress thereafter.
Any info would be great---please reply by mail, as I don't
read this group normally. Thanks in advance.

She was a regular on Santa Barbara before the soap ended in Jan. '93.
In fact, the last show was her wedding. Now I think she's on another
soap (maybe All My Children).
