friend has yet to figure out which scene goes with which song.

I believe it was Karen Matheson, who was listed in the credits as playing
the singer, and later credited with actually singing a song.

Capercallie did the music for the ceilidh or gathering scene and also did
some of the music in other parts of the film.

Posted on rec.movies.music there's a fabulous Rob Roy CD coming out soon
(July?) with an hour of music. A full table of contents was listed!
Looks like *all* the music and songs etc are on it!
