Phoebe Cates questions

My brother and I were talking about the movie "Drop Dead Fred", starring
Phoebe Cates and Rik Mayall. I said I thought Cates was married to a famous
actor, but I couldn't remember which one. Does anyone care to shed some
light on this?

She is married to Kevin Kline and I believe pregnant with their second
child. (She was pregnant with the first while filming Drop Dead Fred).

Drop Dead Fred starred Winona Ryder (sp?)... The chick from Beetlejuice and
Mermaids with Cher... I don't recall Phoebe Cates in the movie... Phoebe Cates
was in Gremlins and Fast Times at Ridgemont High... (Plus some other stuff
I can't remember.)

And she was also in Drop Dead Fred. Winona was not in the movie although
at times, I guess it is difficult to tell the two apart. (As far as the
other movies go, you got the actress right!)

Sorry, but, I haven't seen DROP DEAD FRED, but I would bet my legs
that Winona Ryder didn't star in it. It was *definitely* Phoebe Cates.

Sorry, you've got it wrong. Drop Dead Fred did not star Winona Ryder.
It did star Phoebe Cates (yes,she was in the above mentioned
movies(amongst others)) and as has already been pointed out here, she is
married to Kevin Kline.

I never bothered seeing Drop Dead Fred, but it did star Phoebe Cates.
However I recently heard that Brigitte Fonda was in it. So my question
is was there anyone notable in DDF other than Phoebe? I have a pretty
hard time believing that Winona was in it.
Also, in a recent interview with Kevin Kline he mentioned that he is
planning to do a project with Pheobe in the near future.

Phoebe Cates was the female lead in Drop Dead Fred (opposite Rik Mayall as
the title character). It was not Winona. (I'm a true Winona-head, this I
know) Bridgette Fonda does a brief cameo in the film. Other notables
include Tim Matheson and Carrie Fisher (Leia herself). A very enjoyable
movie, 4 out of five on the video meter.

And Kevin shows up briefly in "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" as

No. That may be what Ms. Cates and Mr. Aames like to say now, and maybe
doubles were used in some scenes, but there are many shots in which the
stars themselves are clearly identifiable. Every inch, as it were.

As I recall, in "I love you to Death", Kevin Kline pays a visit
to Phoebe Cates, and seduces her in front of a German Shepherd!
The thing is, she doesn't appear in the final credits. Does that
make it a cameo?
