A question that's been nagging at me for a while now (actually, one of the
many, but that's a problem that my shrink and I have to deal with) comes
from the movie "Down Periscope", a light comedy with Kelsey Grammer,
Lauren Holly, and Harry Dean Stanton.
Anyway, in one of the scenes near the end, the Captain, played by Grammer,
tells Harry Dean Stanton's character that he needs more speed to put
distance between them and the pursuing sub. To this, Howard (Stanton)
says, "I live for this!!", and says what sounds like three initials. I
can't tell what the initials are, having listened to it several times when
it's on. (It's an amusing movie, not at all painful to watch several
times) Anyway, has anyone noticed Howard saying what I think I hear him
saying? What ARE those pesky initials? And finally the .64 dollar
question, what the heck do they mean???
Thanks,
Bob.
