When I saw Flatliners I couldn't help noticing how much Joshua Rudoy
(played Billy Mahoney) looked like a _very_ young John Hurt (Kane in
Alien).

Anyone else got a match?
"I do! Your face and my ass!" (Young Winnie Hicks in Flatliners)

One of my favorite quotes from Flatliners is in my .sig...

Me, I was impressed by how well the young actors resembled the grown-up
actors for the same character. Although I think at least one such pair had
different colored eyes :-)

Then again, I know of at least one person who still has a problem

...it might just be me but I've always gotten Gary Busey

um... Gary Busey was a bad guy in Lethal Weapon and Under Seige, but not
48-hours, Nick Nolte was in Blue Chips and 48 hours.... Gee, I guess you _do_

There are two actors that I see enough similarity that I'd like to

Well, if you put them side by side, I can tell them apart.
Busey's nastiest bad-guy role (IMHO) was in _Lethal Weapon_ (the
first one).

Actually, I've always had a little difficulty differentiating between
Al Pacino and Dustin Hoffman; until _Dick Tracy_ was made, I wasn't
sure that they weren't one in the same :-)
(now, was that Dustin in _Author, Author_ and Pacino in _Papillon_?
Naw, it's the other way around).

Glenn Close and (sorry, I forget her first name)
Brian Dennehy's daugher
(sorry, can't spell his name either...)

Anyway,.....These two ladies -have- to be twins separated at birth.

I just re-read my post, and the name hit me: Bill Pullman, I believe (looks
like Jeff Daniel's twin.)

That is Bill Pullman, the guy from Spaceballs and Sleepless in Seattle.
I think their resemblance have been mentioned before.

This is the longest thread I've started. Hmm... What should my next thread
be about???

When Ben Kingley is pounding up the stairs in "Sneakers," with Mary
McDonnell and the minor badguys trailing in his wake, I *swear* his
eyeballs grew points.

Think globally, act locally.

I always confuse Adam Arkin and Peter Riegert.

....On a related note, has anyone else noticed the resemblence between
Tom Hanks and Juliette Lewis? Somebody should cast them as siblings....

I have a neighbor that looks just like and I mean just like Richard
Dryfus. I've never told him about the look-alikeness but it's
un-nerving. It's not just a resemblence.

Then there was the British tourist who was arrested by the
Chinese authorities in Tibet because they thought his "Sgt Bilko"
T-shirt was a depiction of the Dalai Lama...

Seriously, I used to confuse Lori Singer with Darryl Hannah.
(Lori Singer played the girl-friend in "The Falcon and the Snowman",
and a role in "Trouble in Mind", among other films.)

In a related vein, anyone notice how there's always a slew of (usually)
actresses that have a VERY similar look? My initial example is in the late
'70s/early 80s, the whole Karen Allen, Debra Winger, Brook Adams, Margot
Kidder stable; straight shoulder length brown hair, slightly raspy voice,
big brown eyes, similar mouth. Seems there's another trend with tall,
angular, high cheekboned, straight chin lengthed brown hair actresses a la
Joan Severance and the woman who was in Speed among others.

Dragosani: Does anyone else, like me wonder if many actors/actresses are related. Take for example Elias Koteas in "Some Kind Of Wonderful"............. if he doesn't look and act like De Niro............Sheesh! Also I saw "Tombstone" recently (xelent film) and wondered if Powers Boothe had taken acting lessons from Lee Marvin!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And make-up lessons from Cary Grant!!) Does anyone else find these things or am I just.........ya know! (Yeh yeh.
