There's a Blu-Ray advertised on Amazon.com for $149.95. Does anybody
know about this one in regard to
version, length etc
Why is it so expensive?
Peter Fraser has told me that there is a new Blu-ray coming out in
February 2012. Does anybody have any information about this February
release.

Regards,
Peter Mason

It's expensive because some joker thinks he can get it...

It's still available exclusively at Wal-Mart for $10 until this 2012 version
comes out.

The 2012 blu-ray I'm guessing is just the movie with none of the
extras on the 2011 blu-ray.

What extras? The Wal-mart listing mentions no extras...

It just came in the mail from Walmart. Looks fantastic! Even the
trailers look great. Has all the extras. Only paid $11.67 including
shipping and tax. Ordered on 1/3. Funny - no mention of the stars,
director or film process in the original trailer but the 1970 one does
list all the stars, Ultra Panavision, Technicolor and director.

So Roland, what color is the opening credit sequence? I hear it's
supposed to change several times, while the previous DVD I think was
all just beige? Are the correct colors there? Any extra footage?
The intermission/lobby radio announcements?

Same here in New Zealand. No problem with Amazon and Blu-rays. Now
Criterion Collection is another matter. They won't sell outside the
US..

Regarding the thread on the background colors for IAMMMMW, I
specifically remember that on the screen at the Boyd Cinerama in
Philadelphia in December 1963, the background was always totally
WHITE. When I saw it later on a regular screen in Panama City FL, the
screen background changed colors, which surprised me. So apparently
they changed some things on the way from 70mm to 35mm.
