16mm - Super 8 = More than 8
I awlways got the creeps looking at 16mm cameras. Even to this very day.
There's something about them that creeps me out. They look impossible to
use. I think in my era mostly the big networks shot in 16mm. I certainly
didn't have access to one and I'm mot sure I would know how to use one.
Does anyone here have any 16mm movies? If you do tell me what it's like to
shoot in 16mm. I've been told they were "twice as expensive" as Super 8.
Maybe twice as hard to use too. Those projectors are pretty cumbersome. I
think a lot of 16mm is, or was sound-ready too.
I didn't know a thing about filmmaking, really. I just happen to shoot some
of the most spectacular people who ever lived and some very unique corners
of Americana that AIN'T coming back. That's about it. That's why I feel
you've got to be "pretty good" to go toe-to-toe with the Lifshine. I'm
looking at some other footage on the Company's website and I must say some
of it is pretty good. But I don't konw how good it is compared to my films.
68 clips about to go...it's gonna flood the website lol.
I honestly don't know what customers do with stock footage. Does anyone
know?
