Issues with Lectrosonics UCR411a power switch

Following two rigorous years with two 411a, the power switches have sumultaneously become somewhat of an issue. Upon switching the units on, the bootup sequence dies at any given point and I have to either keep pressure on the switch or jiggle it to stay on passed the boot process whereupon it manages to stay on 60% on the time.
I've attempted to clean the switches as per usual with pressurized cleaner and air but to no avail.
I'm disappointed with the quality of this essential component and wonder why.
My 205 series receivers are the best Lectrosonics gear I've owned. The switches are easy to access hearty and flawless. The 411a switches seem too inset which may cause to much pushing pressure when switching. I don't have time to fiddle with a small tool to power up! What happened?
Any suggestions as to what I can do to prevent costly repair or replacement since I'm starting up on a 4 month documentary.

definitely a trip to the mothership won't hurt. Lectro service can
handle this issue as well as give your Rx a good massage... :) will
surely be worth the money spent, considering you want to use them for
4 months soon...

You don't say where you are located, but Location Sound or another
servicing dealer can usually do it cheaper than the flat rate price at
the factory.

This is a well documented issue. it has happened to all my 411's over
time, and probably will again. While i support the Principal of "send
back to mother ship" the hardware piece that fails costs PENNIES.
shipping plus the flat service rate is well in excess of 100$. Maybe
our units don't need a massage, just a switch that works. my opinion
is that these switches be replaced free of charge due to the
inevitable failure of its design or mating with the 411. i'm pretty
sure lectrosonics will send you free switches if you ask, you will
just need to have them replaced yourself.

Well, i am yet to see any documentation on this... I've had 411s for
about 5 years now, no issues with the switches. Maybe getting new
switches and replacing them on your own will work out better for you.
