Headphones for Comtex PR-72b's

Hi guys,
I still have set of comtex PR-72b's and I still use them
their ok for the clients, 1st AD's ,DOPs and anybody who may need a
cue
Now the headphones that i have sound real boxy
but when i slip my HD25 's they sound "almost" as equal to my
lectrosonic IFB's
so i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good sounding set of
IFB headphones
that are not to pricey

When i was buying a bunch of headphones for monitoring i found a
similarly priced 5-pack deal for the AKG K-44s. I think it would have
been through Full Compass or BSW. They sound pretty good, and cover
the ear better than the HD202. They are not as tight to the head as
the 202, which could be good or bad. I use them with Comtek 72s (with
a mono adapter from Radio Shack). They sound pretty decent.

I'm always curious to see what headphones grab for their comteks. Some
people like the big K44s and some people like the little ones
(something like a px-30). Some people will just pop in their iPod
earbuds.

I always offer a choice of headpones, and nearly everyone except for
the director prefers a single ear piece. I am currently using the
Remote Audio EarBud (http://www.trewaudio.com/store/product.php?
productid=253&cat=109&page=1). They're cheap, sound decent, adjustable
for left or right ear, and made with a mono plug and short cable
specifically for Comtek use.

I use Sennheiser HD202 or a similar model in silver/black (not
specifically with Comtek)
A good price/quality ratio, sound very decent and are closed +
circumaural.

Hi,
Glen is right. I'm offering some different type of "cans" for
production: director and producer(s) usually want Senn HD 25 or HD
202, all other people usually like the lightweight (and cheapest)
ones. Some of them like the earphones style. Since people are
different from each other (what-a-happiness) you can't have just one
type which will suit for everyone. I let them choose what is good for
them. (And strongly hope that my SennHD 25s will not end up their
performance in the mud somewhere deep in the forest...) As we are
suppling their production (for some money:-)) I think it's normal. Get
a few types of headsets and let them choose, but take care of the
prices.

PS.: since my comteks are "old" styled (mono jack only) I always
replace their connector to a mono one.
