Hi There

Has anyone thought about a mod for the pico Mixer to get Direct outs from
every channel?

there are 5 free pins on the cards and five free pins on every channel on
the mainboard.
Whats about wiring every channel on a 25pin Sub d? and i thing there is
also enough room to put a littlea/d converter board for the main Stereo
outs.

I've got some new preamp boards for the Oktava Mics from a swedish company.
very nice. no noise and every mic sounds equal to the other.

Costs something about 50-60 Eur(I'm from Germany)

I have a Soundcraft LM-1 that was modified for direct ouputs. Each channel
board has a prefade output pin at -6 db. The board also had a cut out for a
25 pin db connector, so Soundcraft ran the d/o's through a very simple
buffer (I'll have to find the schematics for the buffer, but if I remember
correctly it's one resistor and a capacitor) to the 25 pin connector.

By the way, the reason I purchased the Soundcraft as opposed to the Audio
Developments is that both manufacturers said the machines could be easily
modified for pre-fade outputs. But Soundcraft offered to do the mod in the
factory for $100. Great service, and the board is still working well after
10 years.

Ask Audio Developments. Years ago I did a post fade direct out mod to
my Pico based on what they told me to do--it was very easy and works
well.
