This film starts off with a view into a sunny sky, which sets the tone for
the remainder of this hilarious romp through history. Scarlet, a heiress,
falls in love with a man named Clark across a backdrop of the southern
South, with mansions and fruit trees abounding. A maid lady makes some
wisecracks which may not sit well with modern audiences, but all will at
least admit that they are bone-crackingly riotous.
