Hard to argue with calling a flick an 'underachiever', because the
word doesn't quite mean 'bad'. Still, it's interesting to hear the
guy ruminate (though he doesn't sound like a big barrel of fun) ...and
to wonder just when the camcorder replaced the keyboard...

Interesting list; some I hadn't seen, but some I did agree with, such
as Spiderman 3, which was IMO one of the most disappointing movies of
the decade, especially when based on the first two films. When I saw
the thread title I expected this to be a worst films of the decade
list, but it wasn't. With all the best of and worst of film lists I
have seen in the forums the last couple weeks, It was refreshing to
see a list of this kind, and another list I would love to see people's
opinions on is a list of Underrated or Forgotten Films of the Decade
that should be remembered..

Another huge disappointment of the past decade would have to be
Timeline, the 2003 Michael Crichton adaptation about time travel. One
would think with Director Richard Donner and an 80 million dollar
budget and a Crichton best seller to work from it couldn't miss.
Having not read the book, as soon as I saw the Corporate CEO who was
obviously made up to look like Bill Gates, I knew I was in trouble.
The only thing saving it from being a complete disaster was the
performance of Gerard Butler.
