Although the Danish romantic drama RECONSTRUCTION is an '04 film, I'm
posting to both groups because it's contemporary and, I think, little
seen ...and, of course, because imo it's a sleeper. It's a 90-minute
love story, but with clear aspects of a surreal thriller (making
better use of the Barber 'Adagio' than Oliver Stone ever did). Though
I found the going a bit turbid for the first 10 minutes or so, my
perseverance was rewarded ...way more than usual for this nominal
genre. Well recommended.

It was quite effective in 'Platoon' iirc.
