Anyone know who is the soloist on the title soundtrack for "Journey to
Shiloh"?
There's a clip here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5MbnrZFhEY

The soloist comes in after about 20 seconds

It *sounds* a little like Johnny Cash but I don't think it is.

You've probably seen this, but in the credits they said David Gates
( from the group "Bread") provided the music. Hard to find where it
says who the actual singer is.

Yes, doesn't sound too much like David Gates.
I assumed that the group would have had a credit, and their lead singer
perhaps not.
Doesn't sound much like the Sons of the Pioneers, though the number of
groups doing this kind of work for the movies might be few.

Stone me.

Yeah, can't figure out why it's not there, the answer to who sang the
opening and closing theme song of this movie. David Gates probably
knows. The Sons of the Pioneers, doubt it's them, the group who sang
"Cigareets, Whuskey, and Wild, Wild Women", right, great group.
