Does anyone know (and also present some evidence if possible), which
actor apparently turned down 3 different roles, all of which
apparently went to Dustin Hoffman ? I'm unsure if it's Al Pacino or
Jack Nicholson, as both have been and still are, fairly picky.

I only know two of the big roles Raft turned down: Spade in The
Maltese Falcon and Neff in Double Indemnity. As for Pacino being picky
did anyone see 88 Minutes or Righteous Kill? Dog meat in the sun.

...and warmed-over dog meat, at that. It was depressing to watch two
still very fine actors labor to breathe life into RIGHTEOUS KILL.
Eskimos treat their elders better... (Jack Nicholson was supposedly
*considered* for THE GRADUATE, but IMDb doesn't say that he "turned it
down"... as he did RAIN MAN...)

And George Raft also turned down the part of Roy Earle in High Sierra,
the part that made Bogart a big star.

This site has a very broad definition of a performer turning down a
part.

"Mission: Impossible II

Despite the fact Audrey Hepburn passed away in 1993, current director
John Woo considered her profile for the leading role in this
movie. This shows how influential she still is!
Actor who got the part: Thandie Newton"
