Aside from the paragraph below, the link above is all I could find.
I've always wondered who they were. I thought I was frequently hearing
the same voices over and over.

All I have ever heard is that it was a small group of Brits, like only
three guys and one woman, who worked on long-term contract with
Shaw's. They dubbed damn near every film done by SB, and a whole lot
of other HK stuff when SB had less work and they were loaned out to
other smaller companies.

The same dubbing crew occasionally did anime dubbing as well.

I think that what you found in that link is the best you're ever going to find. As far as I know, no one ever interviewed these people or documented this stuff.

as a confirmed HK-film nut, i loved reading that thread until around page
four when the main contributor, wanchaitransient -- after telling a story
about an irate rabbi in kowloon -- is exposed as a notorious fraudster.
too bad...

"He's come on here more than once making up information wholesale as
wanchaitransient, such as his infamous posts on dubbing where he made up
pages and pages of info on "his" experences in Hong Kong and Asia dubbing
films. Though they had some signs of being made up, more than a few fans
were taken in by these. The question should be raised how much of what he's
been telling forum members is correct as well?"

Oops, my mistake. Thanks for pointing that out.

Now that you mention it, his details did have a made-up quality to them.

The guy who dubbed Jackie Chan dubbed Hikaru (Rick Hunter if you're a
Robotech fan) in the Macross: Do You Remember Love movie, released in
edited form in the US as Clash of the Bionoids.
