I just saw for the first time (but not the last) the quite excellent
"Moulin Rouge". While watching I'd assumed that Nicole Kidman and Ewan
McGregor did their own singing, but a review of the film on IMDB claims
that Josh Groban supplied vocals for McGregor's songs.

Can anyone verify this, or perhaps suggest where to look for the
information? The IMDB's cast and crew listings for the movie don't
mention Groban at all. I'd certainly appreciate any help here.

My information is that they both did their own singing.
I think McGregor also did his own singing in Velvet Goldmine.

Well, not that it's authoritative or anything... According to
amazon.com, Ewan and Nicole are listed as the singers on several
songs, and I can't find Josh Groban's name on the soundtrack.

Now, granted, ever since Milli Vanilli, you can't always believe the
listings on CDs, but I'd figure they would at least give Groban a song
credit if he had sung any of the songs.

Thanks for the info (you too, Mick). Word is McGregor and Kidman did do
all their own singing, which for me at least makes the movie that much
more enjoyable.
