Netflix has a new interface. In order to use control plus arrow
keys for fast forward or reverse, I still have to click on the
movie area first in order to focus the input. But, now apparently
there is a way to tell whether or not the control plus arrow key
shortcut will work to fast forward the video (before you try), by
hovering the pointer over the progress slider bar. The control
plus right arrow shortcut becomes functional when you can see a
window pop up from the slider bar area.
Would like to be able to enlarge the preview window. Any more tips
on how to manipulate the video would be appreciated.

After the movie area is focused (by clicking on it), and when
preview mode is available...
You can use the arrow keys without a modifier. Definitely an
improvement.
