Just saw McClintok (sp?) on TNT--Patrick Wayne is John Wayne's son--correct??

How old is he and did he have any significant film credits?

Also, while we on the subject of "Waynes"--David Wayne (no relation to the Duke
right?) I believe died a while back--what were the circumstances.

Thanks for the info sharing.

Yes.

He'll be 60 next July, he has quite a few credits, he played Sinbad in
Harryhausen's THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD, and also appeared in quite a
few of his Dad's films. For more details check out the IMDB
<http://us.imdb.com/search> that's what it's there for. =).

He died of the big C in 1995. He was no relation to John Wayne, his real
name was Wayne McKeekan he was 81.

Lenona (Assistant to Russ Walter) speaking.

Er...I believe you mean "Sinbad & the Eye of the Tiger". (Unless he did
both.) I saw the latter in Spanish when it first came out. We had just
moved to Barcelona, I was only about 10 at the time and didn't know the
language, but that definitely made the movie a LOT better. I saw a scene
or two as an adult and I just couldn't stand it-everything is so
terrible-and that's BEFORE you have to sit through the stone-age special
effects!

Lenona.

Nope, 'fraid not. It was John Phillip Law.

Oops my bad. Of course it was John Phillip Law who played Sinbad in
GOLDEN VOYAGE. Thanks for the correction.

BTW 'TIGER' isn't that bad.

An excellent source for this type of question is the Internet Movie Database:

<www.imdb.com/search.html>

An example is this vital record on David Wayne:

Real name: Wayne McKeekan
Born: 30 January 1914, Traverse City, Michigan, USA.
Died: 9 February 1995, Santa Monica, Calif. (lung cancer)

Film lists and notable TV appearances are also included.

I've been reading this thread and thinking to myself that I recognized the name
David Wayne but couldn't quite put a face to the name, then it came to me: _How
to Marry a Millionaire_! He and Marilyn were so good together and he was funny
and cute and sweet in a scampish way.

I always liked his role in ADAM'S RIB, where he'd always be
trying to seduce Katherine Hepburn away from Spencer Tracy.
