The proposition that people are mostly selfish, duplicitous,
small-minded Philistines. Noir usually has 'bad' guys ( as opposed to
good old John Q ) "historical' epics/bios are white washes.

Or how about the plot line that aliens come to Earth, integrate
themselves into Earth society, and are never minded, or even noticed, by
the indiginous population. No one knows or cares.

I DARE Hollywood to make that one.

are you suggesting hollywood reigns supreme over those with financial
affluence and purposefully go see that with which they disagree?

Not in films, but it's the core values in UK soap operas.

head clean off.

Usually something that runs contrary to popular feelings
or "knowledge".
e.g. Vegetarians are sensible, and Good Americans.
Homosexuals are people.

Collective action by people/communities, can be heroic,
positively beneficial to society, and do Not need a super-
hero to initiate it and be the people's backbone.

Sometimes where disasters occur, Government action can
be, if controlled by people who believe in government, a
short route to success.

The plot that highlights the very best in human traits, and shows
them to be something that everyone can aspire to, with little or
no bad consequences.

A hero who thinks, being a better one than spraying the world
with bullets, and unlike "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance",
no heavy moral tale which tries to lampoon this view, after
beginning with it.

Every angle must have been tried by now, but rarity is asked for.

Stone me.

never seen UITA, but the exception proves the rule....another rarely if
ever seen scenario is how the "minorities" live off the fat of the land
while ragging Whitey in the process.

The aliens have taken over Hollywood and will not allow that plot line
