Here's a comment someone posted on IMDB referring to her "credit" in 4 FOR TEXAS:
This listing comes from a claim in Barbara's autobiography, I Am Not Ashamed, which was actually ghost written by Leo Guild, who had been previously sued for misrepresentation. Almost nothing in Patyon's book is accurate. In the footnotes of John O'Dowd's well researched 2006 book, Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye: The Barbara Payton Story, he claims no evidence of having seen Payton in "4 For Texas" after close inspection, even in crowd scenes. By 1963, Barbara was unfortunately at a low ebb, heavily dependent on drink and prostitution to get through each day. Sadly, she spent her time within a few short blocks on Hollywood Blvd., hanging out in bars and turning tricks to pay for a roof over her head. Barbara's last screen appearance was in "Murder is My Beat" in 1955.
