Buddy Ebson is not about to move from his patch of land on a New Mexico mountain. The government wants it to help defend America.
Two points of view here : the story is not well written or acted ( Ron Howard is terrible as a neighboring rancher ) but the idea is worthwhile...some things are too important to give up, period.
The ending , while not making the film, is a good one and justifies the business about the horse in the earlier part of the story.. Made in the style of TV moves before TV movies became quality but an indication of how different TV programing was from the horse dung on these days. 4+/10 more substance than style.
