Kevin Costner cameo in "Tombstone"

Please tell me if I'm deluded. But watching (and re-watching) one of
the earlier saloon scenes in "Tombstone" (1993), there is a cigar-
smoking gambler sitting opposite Kurt Russell who REALLY looks like
Kevin Costner. IMDB does not mention him, so maybe it's just me ....
but it would be a neat Hollywood in-joke.

Hardly likely, since the two productions were in competition with each other.
Costner (whom I heard characterized as a bland egomaniac) managed to rewrite
"Wyatt Earp" to death, but scanning the awful tie-in novel by the screenwriter
he may have had no choice.
Kevin Jarre's script for "Tombstone" was a lot better, but a little more than
half survived before he got canned in place of a hack who knew how loud a star
can talk.
