mooee you've ever seen. i mean when youre sitting there watching the
boringest mooee ever you're say oh how booring but when youre watching
the worst one youre going oh this is the worsest mooee like ever. very
different.

I don't know about the worst ever, but the worst I saw this year is

My brother bought this budget title, and one evening we watched it with
a friend. The movie is SO ridiculous. The characters are laughable, and
the fightings in the movie are beyond amateuristic.
In fact, it is so bad that it becomes extremely hilarious. We almost
choked laughing, so was it bad after all?..
The movie made me respect good movies even more; e.g. good fighting
movies like Kill Bill, which I also saw this year and which is GREAT!

The worst movie that I've ever seen... hmmmmm... and sat through the
whole thing. I usually get up and walk out or turn it off if its
boring. If a there are great reviews and talk about it being the best
ever I will most likely not watch the movie.
Mostly movies a bunch of people think are good are usually boring.
Gumbo or whatever it was called. White Cat Black Cat or is it black cat
white cat?, boring both.
Vertigo, Rosemary's Baby, the one about the sun and russia,
I'm trying to think what I have turned off recently and I am stumped,
because I will most likely forget it after I turn it off.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, ahhhh.. I lasted almost to the end
then it went off.
Reservoir Dogs, I really didn't like that one.

I won't go see the movie if the reviews are lukewarm. If they are
overwhelmingly bad then I know not to see it. Sometimes I just see them
anyway, depending on who is in it.
Entrapment has my fave actor Sean Connery and who could turn away from
watching Catherine Zeta-Jones-Douglas moving through the security
lasers? That's about all can be said about the movie though.
Cool World - An adult answer to Roger Rabbit combining live action and
animation, but not in a good way. Features a young Brad Pitt who is
forgettable (to the male population anyway). Bad, bad, bad!
Hudson Hawk - Bruce Willis and Danny Aiello singing Swinging From A
Star. NEED I say more?

Oliver Reed to bring in English-speaking audiences) of John Norman's series of
Counter-Earth novels, with nary a tarn in sight....

Ah yes! I read those books when I was a teenager. Great stuff early on,
then Norman kind of went overboard with the slave girl thing. My friend saw
the movies, and told me they sucked bad, but I still had to watch. Just
dreadful.

vein serving for middle-road tragicomedy. That one's on the que.
Tepid, and now you've spoiled the ending, even if there's bound to be
some worthier exceptions. Not sure I understand it either - am I
supposed to identify within varying allowance for imperfect characters
and their everyday small failures, and then feel in someway better
enriched knowing I'm 'OK', as imperfect as any other sod with a loaded
closet? Can't say I'd call it high art, or worth getting all excited
about, like as in a fantastic lineup of screwed- and doped-up
disfunctional misfits found in Trainspotting. Sometimes need some
added push to get into the gist of moral issues and out of the 'I'm OK,
you're OK' diplomacy of things.

Actually, no, I couldn't sit through the whole thing. An hour of it
made me sick to my stomach. I only mentioned the setup. Also, grampa
snorts HEROIN, not cocaine.

I think the worst that I remember is George of the Jungle. A worst movie has
to have at least average expectations, which you can have because you have
Brenden Fraser and a great theme like George of the Jungle cartoon.
However, I also saw him in Dudley Dooright, but my expectations were so
lowered that I sat through the whole thing.
Another real bad one with Paul Newman is Quintet(1979). I sat through that
one because it was so bad and it had Paul Newman I thought it would get
better. But, it kept getting worse and worse.
Sometimes I rent kids movies because they are interesting - I liked Shrek,
for example. But then Robots and Polar Express were unwatchable from an adult
point of view. I don't think it is really fair to put these in the worst
movies because I think they were fine if you were a kid.

There was one film that myself and a friend won free passes to about 12
to 15 years ago. It was called something like "The Pickle" or "The Tale
of the Pickle" and it starred Danny Aiello as an independent filmmaker
who was trying to make his own movie on a shoestring budget. I seem to
recall that his character's other job was as a restaurant manager. It
was sort of like the movie his character was making was weaved into the
actual plot itself and it just became sooooo absurd that we could
barely stand it. We were so glad we didn't actually PAY to see it. It
remains still as one of the most horrible films I've ever seen. I've
NEVER even seen it pressed to DVD or released on video. Yes, it was
that bad. I can't even recall who else was in it. God, it was just so
reek-a-delic. It stunk bad. We still found ourselves joking about it's
reek factor some five to six years after viewing it.

I agree about Rosemary's Baby. It sucked ass. I *hate* it when people
constantly compare it to Play Misty For Me, which was sooooo much
better. RB was such an utter waste of time and I just deplored Mia
Farrow's character in it. I hate it when people call it "one of the
best art house horror films of all time". It's just absurd how anyone
can find such redeeming value in such a piece of shit, really, but
that's only my opinion. To each his own. I didn't care for Reservoir
Dogs, either, but I loved Harvey Keitel in that suit. He's one of my
favorite actors and he looked delicious in that film. Hated the film
itself, though, and I agree with you.
