Besides the notorious _Deliverance_, there's Edward James Olmos's uneven but
powerful _American Me_. At the other end of the quality spectrum is Tom Selleck
in _An Innocent Man_. Both of these last two are prison films.

By far the most disturbing male rape scene I know about is in the Dutch film
"Spetters."
It was directed by Paul Verhoeven (who later directed "Basic Instinct" and
"Showgirls").
It's available on VHS in America.

Also check out John Boorman's excellent 'Deliverance' for male rape scene.
The most disturbing rape scene I've ever seen is probably in 'The Accused',
it's truly devastating.

American History X (havent seen it though)
Hollywood is not brave enough to portray male rape on the screen, which is
unfortunate, because it doesn't just happen in prison.

In _The Name of the Rose_ is it seduction or rape? I can't remember after 13

I suppose this depends on your definition, but for females raping males,
Clint Eastwood was victimized in "The Rookie" and Ralph Fiennes was taken
advantage of in "Oscar and Lucinda."

There is also an implied male rape scene in LAWRENCE FO ARABIA. I could
be wrong. But I think that film perpetuates the "Turkish prisons" cliche
The Rape of Richard Beck or The Broken Badge. Made for TV, '85.
(IMDB's wonderful, ain't it?)

More accurately, it's being faithful to Lawrence's account of what
happened.

_The Rape of Richard Beck_ (1985), a TV movie directed by Karen Arthur. AKA
_The Broken Badge_.
In real life Lawrence was raped.

This is actually a very good film -- and Richard Crenna won an Emmy for
his portrayal. He's a macho cop who is rather dismissive of the newly
formed Rape Task Force that is set up to deal with rape victims --
until HE is raped by two criminals who catch him alone. It deals with
the actual rape itself, his humiliation (which is the point -- he
realizes that it's a crime of power rather than sex), his fear -- and
the crude reactions of his fellow cops.
