I've read in the IMDB that Val Kilmer had a habit which he brought into
his film roles... that of flipping something over his knuckles. He did it
with 2 quarters in "Real Genius", with a pen in "Top Gun" and a poker
chip in "Tombstone". Can anyone remember any other films in which Kilmer
uses his "knuckle flip" skills?

Bill

hmmmm... the only habit I know of that Val has brought to his roles is
being a general asshole and putting out cigarettes on crew members for
fun.

Can you say "Doesn't play well with others"?

Val used his fingerwalking skill in__
"Top Secret" - crowbar
"The Doors" - drumstick
"Billy the Kid" - coin

I don't think he has used it since "Tombstone".

Doesn't he perform some sleight-of-hand in Island/Moreau, when he's
sitting around the computer room? Or maybe I have false-memory syndrome,
after all this knuckle-chat! :)

Although I didn't see Val's latest movie, I would venture to guess you're
right. Check out "Real Genius", a really early Val movie, he rolls a coin
from the top of one finger to the next in a brief classroom scene. Could
be what you're referring to. :)

It's a clause in his contract, it must be shot on film during principle Photography walking a pen/chip/coin

I know this is a LONG time from when this was posted but he also did a spinning of a sword around his hand a couple times in Willow of course the cup spin in Tombstone.
