REGARDING : OUR MILLINIUM 2000 DREAM
Dear Friend
LAF PRODUCTIONS cc (LOST AND FOUND PRODUCTIONS) is a
Newly established casting, video and movie production
company based in Cape Town, South Africa.
Our first aim is to create new employment opportunities
in South Africa, and secondly to promote and expand the
development of potencial young actors and actresses
(boys & girls from 6 to 19 years of age).
Altough it is not our normal attitude to ask for donations,
but due to the economic unsuitability and the weak
South African Rand, we are forced to ask you directly
to consider a small donation.
The donation will be used to buy some camera and production
equipment, as well as to subsidize and sponsor some kids for
training at Local Film Schools. We also will use some of the
money for the production of at least 4 short films.
Our wish is to promote Afrikaans Productions. Afrikaans is
an African language inharrited from our forfathers in the Netherland.
Afrikaans is widely spoken by approximately 85% of South African people.
World Known and Oscar winning productions of well known South African
writer and Director/Producer 'Leon Schuster' with "THERE'S A ZOELOE ON
MY STOEP" and 'Katinka Heyns' with her "PALJAS" is samples
of Afrikaans productions.
'Frans Marx' with eclaimed "EGOLI" is also produced originally
in an English - Afrikaans medium.
Fortunately, the US Dollar, German Mark and British Pound is
very strong in comparison with the South African Rand.
The amount we need is R 250 000 ...
(US $ 41 000 , German Mark 78 000 , British Pound 25 000)
We believe that if we can get 205 sponsors of US $ 200 each, or
164 sponsors of US $ 250 each, we will be able to make not only our
but a lot of other peoples' dreams a reality.
In return we undertake to give our sponsors full credit on the
productions as well as on our web site when launched.
If you feel like to sponsor camera, lightning and production equipment
in spite of money, that will be evenly appreciated.
