There are not many hindi films where there is a supernatural element (if we
exclude the mythologicals and fantasy films like Ajooba)! my own favorite is
Lekin by Gulzar, the story of a spirit who is afraid of spirits, prisoner of
a desert and waiting for her guide to come back and help her cross the
desert!

Another good film with supernatural element was Mahal (with ashok Kumar and
Madhubala) though here in the end there was an attempt to explain everything
in terms of a trick and thus not real supernatural.

What other films are there with good supernatural element? The indian
version of Ghost was another one where Amrita Singh was really good in the
role played in the english version by Whoopi Goldberg.

What about Woh Kaun Thi and Kohra? I have not seen either of these and I am
not sure if the films had real supernatural or it was explained in the end
as a trick! Are there any others?

There was also Chamatkar with Shahrukh, Urmila and Naseeruddin Shah where
Naseeruddin shah was a ghost.

Let me also add some from the years gone by.

Parchhain: Jayshree, V. Shantaram, Sandhya, MD C. Ramchandra; such memorable
songs as Katate hain dukh mein yeh din, muhabbat hii na jo samajhe, etc...

Aashiana - Raj Kapoor, Nargis, music by Madan Mohan. Still remembered songs
include mere piya se koyee jaake kehde; main paagal mera manwa paagal; mera
qaraar lejaa mujhe beqaraar kar jaa (tandem, Lata and Talat),
tum chaand ke saath chale aao yeh raat suhaani ho jaaye, etc., etc..

And one from the not so bygone era is Karz, based on "The Reincarnation of
Peter ......", IIRC.

Happy listenings.
