Iranian-born model Nigar Khan on Monday cried foul as Indian authorities ordered her to leave the
country reportedly on finding discrepancies in her visa documents.
Khan, who has featured in music videos and films since surfacing in Bollywood two years ago, was
hauled up by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for allegedly bearing a false work
permit.
She accused officials of forcing her to leave by driving her to the airport without giving her any
notice.
"They did not even let me pick up my clothes... I don't know why they are taking me away like this,"
a frantic Khan wailed.
"I had gone to the FRRO office to sign some papers... There is nothing wrong with my visa... it says
I work here... They are not allowing me to even call a lawyer..."
The official who was with her in the car said she was being deported because her papers were not in
order.
Khan, who is based in Norway, has been caught up in controversies before.
The bold and ambitious starlet last made headlines when photographs purporting to be those of her
modelling topless for a Norwegian magazine were revealed.

Why can't they get a regular job instead of asspiring for stardom?
North Indians are to blame for entertaining foreigners. What they
cannot produce with white flour roti, they import just for the kicks.
It is too bad this star is being kicked out. In wishyes US star
programmers are being laid off. There is no scope for budding stars
here. We have to wait in a long queue of asspiring stars. Meanwhile the
hollywood will pick up white/black trash and make movies like there is
no tomorrow. At least for Ms.Khan India gave hospitality for a few
years as a star. In wishyes US she'll be asked to fingerprint and have
her picture taken several times for issuing a visa and then she has to
pay taxes on her earnings. I think this augurs bad for US-Iran
relations. Hope wishyes US will spread a red carpet for this asspiring
star.

She is more known for her (s)exciting figure and innumerable wall
posters that occupy vast spaces in search websites, than her acting
prowess. Iranian-born and Norwegian citizen - identified more in India
as an "Item girl" -- Negar Khan's date with Bollywood was cut short
for the second time in the last one year, when the Immigration
authorities decided on Monday evening to deport her back to her
country. Her fault: She once again violated work permit conditions in
the country.
Her popular remix 'Chadti Jawani' may have been hummed all over the
country and Sunidhi Chauhan-sung and her enacted 'item song' "Kyon
karoo main shaadi, kyon kho doon yeh azaadi...", in Mandira
Bedi-starring "Shadi ka Ladoo" may have won her thousands more fans,
but Ms Negar Khan had a hard time convincing the Immigration
authorities that she possessed all valid documents which allowed her
to prolong her stay in the country as long as she wanted.
At the end of the day, neither the Immigration authorities nor the
special branch of the Mumbai police that is in-charge of foreigners'
registration were in any mood to show any mercy to her. Detained as
she had been at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport since
Monday morning, Ms Negar Khan was scheduled to be put on a flight
heading to Norwegian capital, in the wee hours of Tuesday.
"There is no way we can allow her to stay here. She has flouted visa
regulations in a big way. She had come here on a visitors' visa. But,
she has made the most of her visa to indulge in commercial activities.
I need not elaborate on her commercial activities, because you media
people know all things about her well. As far as we are concerned,
Negar Khan has violated the visa rules not just once but twice, in one
year," Additional Commissioner of Police Bipin Bihari told The Pioneer
here in the night.
On her part, Ms Negar Khan attempted to save her skin, by telling the
authorities that she had done nothing wrong by continuing to stay in
India. Her contention was that she had married an Indian six months
ago and that she possessed all the valid documents that permitted her
continuance of stay in the country. Though she did not reveal whom she
had married, two versions that were going around in Bollywood's rumour
mill were that she had married and was staying with an upcoming model
Sahil Khan and that being a "lesbian" she had married a female model.
But, the authorities insisted that Ms Negar had been issued notice to
leave India early last year and she had left the country accordingly.
But, she surfaced once again in India in January this year. Before
long, her presence came to be noticed by the authorities. The
Immigration authorities zeroed in on her first and the special branch
of the Mumbai police in-charge of foreigners' registration was more
than willing to oblige.
Her visa violations notwithstanding, the manner in which Ms Negar Khan
has occupied the minds of fun-loving youngsters cannot be ignored.
Helens and Bindus may have been things of the past in Bollywood and
Bipishas, Mallika Sehrawats and Aroras may have built up their own
constituencies, but Negar Khan had created a niche for herself when it
came to selling her wares or no wares. Her popular remix 'Chadti
Jawani' made both the teenaged and middle-aged male stand up and take
notice. Her equally sizzling numbers in "Shadi Ka Ladoo" and Sunjay
Dutt-Kabir Bedi-Suniel Shetty-Bipisha Basu starring "Rudraksh" created
more waves in Bollywood. Equally thrilling were her modeling
appearances.
What stirred the hornet's nest were not her wall posters which can
easily be accessed on the website, but the explicit pictures, taken
from one of the leading men's magazines in Norway, VI Menn (We Men),
which show Khan posing with little more than a g-string to cover her
modesty.
Featured on the cover of the magazine that has a circulation of
1,10,000 which was accompanied by the headline, "Et sommermote med
Negar fra Oslo (A summer meeting with Negar from Oslo)", Ms Negar Khan
created a sensation in a country of which she is a citizen.
