The Telugu film actor N Balakrishna, who is now in
judicial custody on the charges of attempt to murder, had
attempted suicide after opening fire at two persons
including a film producer B Suresh on Thursday night.

It was disclosed by the Hyderabad city police
commissioner R P Singh on the basis of the statement of
one of the eye witnesses of the incident. Shiva Reddy, a
servant of Balakrishna, now in police custody, told the
police that Balakrishna had put the revolver at his
temple and pressed the trigger but there was no bullet as
the actor had fired all the six bullets.

Siva Reddy is among the four persons taken in to custody
by the police to inquire about the sensational incident
in which the actor had nearly killed B Suresh and his
friend and astrologer Satyanarayana Chowdhary.

"When I heard gunfire I ran to the hall and found
Balakrishna aiming the revolver at his temple," Siva
Reddy told the police.

The disclosure has made the police and the doctors more
vary about the mental and psychological condition of the
actor who is presently under observation in the Nizam's
Institute of Medical Sciences on the orders of the court.

Adding another twist to the story, the Director of NIMS
Dr Kakarla Subba Rao has said that Balakrishna was in a
suicidal mood and he can do any thing any moment.

Subba Rao, who is also close family friend of NTR
household said that the doctors will give a final report
about the medical condition of the actor after further
examination and observation. The police is guarding the
room of the actor in the NIMS.

Meanwhile the police investigations in to the incident
have revealed that the actor had purchased 44 bullets
through his driver from a licensed gun dealer in
Hyderabad recently. The police has arrested the gun
dealer Ghouse.

Balakrishna's younger brother Ramakrishna and co-brother
R M Prasad were among the people present in the House
when the incident occurred. They told the police that
they had come to discuss the plans for the actor's
birthday celebration on June 10. But after the incident,
they vanished from the scene.

It was also revealed that soon after the incident,
Ramakrishna called other family members and two other
brother Jaya Krishna and Mohan Krishna also rushed to the
house.

The trouble also seem to be deepening for the actor's
wife Vasundhara. A servant to the police that it was on
her orders that he had wiped out the blood stains from
the House. The police has arrested the servant Kuppuswamy
and was likely to book a case of removing the evidence
against both the servant and Ms Vasundhara.

The efforts to strike an amicable settlement between the
actor and his victims have also failed as the injured
producer Suresh told the police that the actor had
deliberately fire at him with an intention to kill him.
He said that it was a preplanned attack and with out any
provocation.

The actor has told the police that he was angered when
Suresh made some remarks against his fans saying the film
was more important than his fans. The actor also told the
police that he had opened fire at Suresh as he had
attacked him with a paper knife.
