Hi all,
The southern film of Aravind Swamy and Sri Devi is DEVARAAGAM (malayalam). The
movie likely to be dubbed into hindi, telegu, and tamil. The film is about a
village girl (SriDevi) falling in love with a widowed scholar, poet and writer
(Aravind Swamy). She falls in love with him because of his writing and poetry.
But he doesn't budge from his 'devotion' for his dead wife. She woes him down
and the film ends on a happy note of 'LOVE CONQUERING ALL'
It's infact ironical that in real life Sri Devi was stunned by Aravind Swamy's
glamourous perfomance in ROJA and fel in love with him and even went up to the
extent of proposing to him....was she mad or what? Maybe the flame of passion
might still be alive through this new movie....who knows?

To one and all....Ricky.

I am interested in the Soundtrack of Devaraagam. I think that the music
is by Illayaraja. Its comes with Desam as the other movie. I didnt want to
risk buying it. Can someone post opinions. Also I think that the movie is
being made in Tamil (either simulataneously or originally in Tamil). Its
being directed by Bharatan who made "Devar Magan" amongst others. Anyways,
I digress.

This, I find hard to believe. I am hearing this for the first time. As
far as I know, AS is happily married. No onscreen passions (they arent
Taylor and Burton to flame up despite married to other people). Well,
you never know...

The Malayalam CD is out. Music by M.M.Keeravani (aka Maragadamani and
M.M.Kreem). Any reviews ? It's directed by Bharatan, who directed
the Kamal starrer "Devar Magan", which was India's Oscar entry a year
or two ago.

BTW< Sridevi looks astonishingly beautiful in some of the pictures
I have seen (from "Devaragam").

The rumor about Sri and AS is old news...
I heard that AS feel in love and married a girl from Maryland is
that true? I also heard that Sri is getting married to a widower is THAT
true as well? confirm please...
I heard the music of Devaragam on passing, didn't think it was
all that good. I don't think it was Raja who composed it though.

Yes, Arvind Swamy did get married to a girl from the U.S. (not sure of
the state). They got married a couple of years ago, and are very happy.
I only know this because my cousin went to school with him a few years
ago (before the big ROJA break), and they are still good friends.
