After 'Ottamandaram', award winning director Vinod
Mankara is getting ready with a Sanskrit project. The
movie titled 'Priyamanasam' depicts the life of Unnayi
Warrier, the 17th century scholar, poet, and playwright,
widely known for his classical "Nalacharitham
Aattakatha".

Television actor Rajesh Hebbar does the lead role of
Unnayi Warrier. Kuchuppudi dancer Pradheeksha Kashi and
Bharatnatyam dancer Meera Sreenarayanan do the female
leads.

Unnayi Warrier's "Nalacharitham Aattakkatha" (Kathakali
play) is based on the incredible romantic saga of Nalan
and Damayanthi of the Mahabharatha. All the characters in
that work of art will be characters in this movie too.

'Priyamanasam' will be the third Sanskrit film in the
history of Indian cinema. The movie is scheduled to be
released in September.
