I read an article a few years ago in a porn mag a fewyears ago and they
mentioned, Annie Sprinkle and TraciLords. Although in an other mag I read
Traci was of polishheritage. Avalon porn actress of the early 90's said she
was jewish.

The Rabbi Stiffkugel would point out that under Jewish law, it is the religion
of the *mother* that determines one's Jewishness. Therefore, unless Traci's
"Sweedish" mother was of the faith, she would be considered a shiksa absent

Most American Jews do not define themselves by "Jewish Law" since such law
is only adhered to - or even referred to as such - by the Orthodox. Secular
and non-affiliated Jews, as well as Reform Jews regard patrilineal descent
with the same validity as matrilineal descent. Many Conservative-affiliated
Jews are coming around to that as well. All told, that's an overwhelming
majority of American Jewry. Israel's Law of Return would grant instant
citizenship to Traci (or for that matter, Bunny Bleu) because "any one parent
will do if you say you're a Jew."(my formulation, not Israel's)
Judaism is still a religion, but Jews are a people, a multiracial ethnic
group that has over the past two centuries transcended its exclusive ties to
Orthodox Judaism.
Even when contemplating getting married to Brook Yeaton(John Water's
nephew) in an Episcopal ceremony, Traci admitted in an interview that she
felt strange about it because she thinks of herself as Jewish. (It's
probably the only thing she says about herself in public that's honest, but
that's another story).

As far as what is the child if the father/mother is half
jewish/italian/etc/etc/ here's the bottom line. Most ofthis has to due with
if which parent had the most influenceon the child. If the father/mother was
jewish and he/shereally took the time to become a factor in the child's life
usually the child will claim themselves that nationalityor religion. Ex.
irish father and jewish mother, father'sout all day long, doesn't care about
the child,etc. 9 timesout of ten the child will be raised jewish because of
themother's involvment and the father's lack of. The reverseis also true.
If both parents don't care about the child then thegrandparents get involved
and usually make sure the child goesto THEIR church or temple. If both
parents are jewish the childis usually an atheist(just kidding). As far as
ethnicity goes the same is usually true. If the child hates one of the
parents he willusually say his/her nationality is of the opposite parent,
unless thatrace/nationality is in vogue. If both parents are jewish the
child willhate themselves(just kidding aka Woody Allen).

Okay, I finally had time to verify what I posted about Gabor being
uncircumcised.
I pulled out "Kascha & Friends" (1988); he has a scene w/Dana Lynn in

shot. It's not just loose shaft skin-- it's clearly an intact prepuce,
with frenum still attached.
So-- did he convert in the last decade? Or is it true what I read about
Eastern European Jews-- that the mohel merely ritually nicks or touches
the baby's foreskin with the blade, rather than performing an actual
circumcision (the reason being strong antiSemitic prejudice in certain
Communist bloc countries)?

Sasha and I are both Hungarian and were both born in Budapest during
the Russian occupation of the early 1950's. My father made a concerted
choice not to have me circumcised because the Russian hatred of Jews
during that era. It's likely that Sasha's parents acted similarly.
