Just saw this move and had to take a bathroom break at about the
90-minute mark. Left while Craven and the daughter's friend were
talking in the car, came back just as the girl was run over by the bad
guys. I must have missed something, because I'm puzzled on several
points.
- What was the deal with the radioactive milk? Whose fridge was it in?
Was it the source of the daughter's Thallium poisoning?
- For that matter, I didn't know Thallium was radioactive. A quick
Google didn't mention it being radioactive.
- How did Craven get poisoned? Did he drink some of the milk? Was he
poisoned when he was handcuffed to the gurney?
Wondering the same thing -- I may have to see the movie again.

The daughter's (...as I was later reminded).

Yes.

An isotope is, iirc.

The latter (...as I was later convinced).

The movie was poorly put together, but here is my take. The milk was
definitely in Craven's fridge. That is not in dispute. Late in the
movie, he ran the geiger counter over the milk and discovered it was
radioactive. I think that is how he was poisoned.
His daughter was poisoned when her hippie group tried to inflitrate the
evil company. All this took place off screen before the movie started.
The head guy said at one point 'a standard defense to sabotage is to blast
the intruders with radioactive material while they're in there.'
But there are lingering questions. Why did they take Craven into custody
in the corporation? Not really sure. I think he was already infected and
maybe it was to watch him die. It was mentioned that the daughter may
have not participated in the break in. So, how did she get infected? In
any event, I think it was clear that she was poisoned offscreen before the
movie started. Either in the break in or some other way, before meeting
up with her father.

Assuming you're right, this point was not mentioned in the movie.

See above. I think he was poisoned by the milk. Why they took him to the
company and strapped him to the gurney is not 100% clear.

So, you're saying her milk was transported to Mel Gibson's fridge?

You know, IMDB is having the same debate. The consensus seems to be that
it was the ... shaving cream!

No. In another thread, I became convinced that Mel was snooping in
his daughter's apartment when he found the open bottle. (But I'm
willing to return to uncertainty.)
