I am wondering if anyone can post a response to detail what happens in
the ending of "They" as shown in the USA?
I read that it involved the girl being captured whilst in the
hospital.
I saw an ending where she is sat on her bed in her flat, with lights
all around her , with a dark cupboard door slowly opening...this is
after she is discharged from the hospital.
Was this an alternate ending?

You know, I'm embarrased enough to say that I did see this movie...
and I don't remember the ending. It was THAT bad. I was surprised I
even made it that far without walking out.
If it helps you at all, I don't remember the details, but... the very
last scene, someone looks into a closet or something, and she's in
there with "They". She can see out, but they can't see her, and they
shut the door. I do remember people leaving the theater saying,
"That's it? What a cop-out!"
Ugh, what an awful movie. Wes Craven would roll over in his grave, if
he was dead ;-)
So does this mean its a different ending?
The one i caught a glimpse of went as follows:
- she is fighting off the workers
- the camera pans down a hospital ward, with people in wheelchairs
acting looney
- it enters a room, and she is sat there opposite a board of doctors
- they discuss her rehabilitation. she says she is fine, she hasnt
seen any appearances for 6 months.
- she looks up, there is a creature scuttering in the darkness
- she walks down the hall, suitcase i hand
- she walks up her appartment block stairs
- she is in her room, rigging up loads of lights, from batteries
- she throws glow sticks around, under her bed etc.
- the camera pans out from her room, brightly lit by gas lights,
electric lights, glow sticks
- it pans down the corridor to her seating on the bed.
- you see a closet door open, slowly, in the darkness down the hall
- the end.
as you see, there is not scene of her in the hospital as a patient.
Can anyone elaborate on what happens in the uncompromising ending?
Cheers
