Greetings,

What is the name of the song that plays in the background of the
last half of the trailer for Notting Hill? Also, who's it by? It
doesn't seem to be on the soundtrack as best I can tell. Thank you in
advance.

"Gimme Some Lovin'!"

The Spencer Davis Group

Greetings "Michael,"

I know the Spencer Davis song "Gimme Some Lovin'," and I don't
believe that's the song playing in the background for the last half of
the trailer. The Davis song is a real fast, upbeat song. The song in
the background of the Notting Hill trailer is kind of a whispery,
chorus-like, slow love song. Perhaps there are two versions of the
trailer? I've only seen the one on the Universal Pictures web site
which I've pasted the link below. Do you have any other ideas on the
song? Thanks much.

Hi Scott...

I have a copy of the trailer on CD and I just played it there to see
what piece you were thinking of... There must be more than one version
because the second half of the trailer is a fairly upbeat piece of
music... It's not Spencer Davis Group (although this IS played at the
START of my trailer), it's Eagle Eye Cherry 'Save Tonight' (which isn't
on the soundtrack)... It doesn't sound like the piece of music you're
thinking of I know... but I'm 100 percent sure that that is what's
playing for the second half of the trailer... My trailer was from a free
CD from screendragon... catch them at www.screendragon.com You might
get to see and hear the trailer again to check.

You have the soundtrack? I bought it yesterday because it's great
compilation... The tracks for anyone how cares are:

1.Another Level - From the Heart
2.Ronan Keating - When you say nothing at all
3.Elvis Costello - She
4.Al Green - How can you mend a broken heart
5.98degrees - I D0 (Cherish you)
6.Pulp - Born to Cry*
7.Lighthouse Family - Ain't no sunshine*
8.Shania Twain - You've got a way
9.Spencer Davis Group - Gimme Some Lovin'
10.Trevor Jones - Will and Anna (Score)
11.Trevor Jones - Notting Hill (Score)
12.Bill Withers - Ain't no sunshine

* Bonus tracks not included in film

My guess is it is track 1,2,3 or 8... you can narrow it down by the
voice.. if there is a voice! But then again you don't think it's on the
album so my guess is still Eagle Eye Cherry... screendragon will let you
know if we're talking of the same song!

Let me know more details if you want me to find out exactly which one!

Take Care,
Hazel:)

Greetings,

Well, this sure has turned into a lot more work than I thought!
Anyway, I don't have the soundtrack, but I've heard all the tracks.
You can listen to a clip of each song at http://www.cdnow.com. I was
able to listen to the Eagle Eye Cherry song too at the same place, and
that's definitely not it either. My guess is that the song is not on
the trailer you all are listening too. There must be different
trailers for the US vs. the UK. I tried to get the Notting Hill
trailer from the http://www.screendragon.com place you mentioned, but I
was unsuccessful. Does it only come on CD? You can get the trailer
I've been talking about from the Universal Pictures web site at
http://www.notting-hill.com/media/index.html. Or, I could e-mail you
the trailer file. Please let me know. I'd really like to know who
does this song. Thanks a lot for all your help.

Are you talking about "Why" by Annie Lennox?
