In defense of Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet looks like Manet's "women". At the time of this painter, a
beautiful woman was a little over-weighted. Kate Winslet is not
over-weighted, but she's not thin either obviously. She was thus perfect to
suit the time of the film, 1912.

Manet was an Impressionist painter and Impressionism is of course an
important part of Cameron's Titanic. No one could have been better and more
beautiful than Winslet for Titanic...

I agree -- though I'd add that Kate is also perfect to suit the time of
1998!
