What is the best movie of 2009 so far

I have been rather concerned with old french movies recently, so I haven't
kept up to speed with all the new movies. If you were to nominate one film
as the best of 2009, what would that be.

Unless I'm forgetting something, the movies that *I've* rated the
highest are KNOWING and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. Of course, not only are
those merely personal choices, but also the year's "high-powered"
stuff is just beginning to appear...

Like I always say, I won't know what the best film of this year is
until halfway through next year when everything's finally drifted on
to DVD. But right now Inglourious Basterds is the best movie I've
seen in a theater so far this year.

It was (still is?) available on Time/Warners' Movies on Demand, so
depending on your cable system, Antichrist might be one press on
select away from being ideal Thanksgiving night's viewing for the
whole family.

Avoid normal situations.

It's November, friend. Most of the movies that will be
Academy candidates haven't even been released yet.
But I'll give you this, "Up" is, well, really up there.
