Captain Infinity
It was shot using still images from Nikon D3 DSLRs. About 200,000 of
them. I don't know if they incorporated them all. It is created by
moving models incrementally to form the motion.
I believe it is stop animation, hence the look. I will probably see it
in the theatre eventually.
Worst, or low-tech? That's the point. It's stop motion capture. You
must be under 20 if you don't recognize the form of animation.
It's stop motion, but the movie is done very very well. I think it's a
winner.
"Worst" doesn't make sense. The production is very good, the website
is "fantastic" as well.
Can't wait to see it.

I'm over 20, and I recognize and am a fan of the form. I just think, in
this movie's case from what I've seen in the ads, it looks like shit.

Captain Infinity
I didn't like the look of the animation from the ads but went to see it
today anyway based on the reviews. I'm perfectly willing to look beyond the
animation style if the story is good. Unfortunately, I didn't care much for
the story either.
Yes, it's stop motion, but it seems to be a style that is more jerky
then what is usually used. I'm not sure if it's because they wanted
that look or if they just used less frames per second then movies like
King Kong or Coraline in order to save money and time. It doesn't have
to be an either/or situation, naturally :)
