I saw my first ad for Black Panther today. Jesus, it's like AUTOMAN the
movie. I wouldn't go near it with Obveeus' eyes.

Yep. Apparently that's why I disliked Captain America too. And those
awful Hulk movies. And the Natalie Portman Thor movies - only reason to
dislike Portman is racism. Iron Man 2 had a black guy in there
somewhere didn't it? And Spider-Man! Boy, howdy.

At least we're allowed to point out that the DC movies are absolute
garbage on their own lack of merits.

My problem with DC is that they don't do a good job of delivering good
character development in their movies. In the animated cartoons they
did a good job but for some reason their characters fall flat in the
movies, while Marvel does a good job of delivering characters that you
can like in the movies. Haven't seen the BP trailers (or the WW movie)
yet so I don't know if this will mark a turn-around for DC or not.

They certainly can deliver good movies if they really wanted to but
something goes wrong in the process. Maybe too much meddling from the
studio heads or maybe they just can't pick good people to write/direct
the movies.

BP is Marvel. And I didn't recognize anyone or anything. But they were
as tied in with the Fantastic Four (and later the Avengers) as The
Inhumans were, so there may not be anything left for me to recognize.

DC has legacy issues too, like Jon Peters, who's been screwing up
Superman movies for decades. He's entrenched in the producer loop and
they can't get him out.

Plenty of bad reviews for BLACK PANTHER will be allowed to show up on
Rottentomatoes, IMDB, etc... What they will be trying to block is the
coordinated effort fake reviews. Anyone who cares about the continued
existence of those websites (which do serve as good promoters of what
films are in theaters and what TV is out now (and historically)) should
be glad to see them trying to maintain their websites in a responsible
manner.

Yeah, I got my secret super society African cities confused for a
moment. With BP and the city's control of Vibranium and that being the
secret to Captain America's shield I knew that but had a momentary
confusion. I know there's been recent speculation (like the last few
days) that BP will play a bigger role in the upcoming Avengers movies
(much like it seems they are doing with Spiderman). Guess it's time to
bring in some new blood in case Downey takes a leave so they either
need to bring in a new Iron Man or write him out for a bit.

That may be the case but nothing prevents them from treating him the
way they do in Japan with executives they no longer need but won't
fire. Just take away all of his decision making ability so he still
gets paid, but for doing nothing. That limits his ability to screw up
anything.
