In Austin Powers 2, Dr. Evil goes back in time to 1969, and when
he does, he meets up with the younger version of Dr. Evil's #2,
Robert Wagner's character, who gets played by Rob Lowe as the
younger version of #2. What I want to know is if that's Rob Lowe's
voice, or is it Robert Wagner's Voice that's dubbed over Rob Lowe's
dialogue as #2. I say it's Wagner's voice dubbed over Lowe's lines,
but according to Lowe on the Daily Show, he says he's doing an
impression of Wagner's voice (this was second hand reporting, I
did not see the Daily show segment in question). Anyone know
for sure, and want to venture their opinion? TIA.

I think it's Rob Lowe's voice, too. I heard him say the same thing on
the E! Austin Powers special. Why would he lie?

I saw him on the Daily show and Jon Stewart had Rob do the Robert
Wagner voice. He had it down, you would have thought it was Wagner.

It's Lowe -- I've seen him do his Wagner impression on talk shows.

Damn, I'm impressed! When I heard him in the film, my first
reaction was to lean over to my wife and say, "Lowe's doing a
*great* Robert Wagner impression". She listened for a few more
lines, and said, "I think Wagner is dubbing the voice".

After a few more minutes, the "Wagner voice" seemed so perfect
that I was inclined to agree with her.

Now that I find that it really *was* Lowe, I must congratulate
him on an *impeccable* impression. Great work.

Agreed. Until I saw that I thought it was looped.

I think Rob Lowe deserves a Best Actor nomination for that impression. It
was AMAZING.
