Laird Hamilton's biological father

Greetings all-

Just saw a surfing short(Ride The Wild Surf)and noted at the main subject,
famous surfer Laird Hamilton looks and has mannerisms very similar to actor
George Hamilton. His smile, mouth, eyes and eye brows(he even does the
arching eye brow thing George is noted for) all are similar to George's.
Laird's step-father is Bill Hamilton(coincidentally same last m name as
actor George).

The similarities are so striking I can't help but wonder about it. I looked
on IMDB and there was no mention of George/Laird connection.

Any thoughts?

Ever seen Laird in person, I mean I am 6'2" 230, dude is seriously
chiseled, dunno if I would tell him of George "permanently tanned"

Bruce Jenkins, "20th Century Man: Laird Hamilton," The
Surfer's Journal, v6 n 3, 1997, pp. 84-120.

Laird John Zerfas was born to JoAnn Zyirek (mother)
and L.G. Zerfas (father). L.G. left when Laird was
4-5 m.o. and Laird picked Bill Hamilton as his new
dad 2 years later.

A likely cover story. More likely George Hamilton (well known for his
movie role in 'Zorro-the Gay Blade' and other Hollywood classics)
knocked up some admiring fan, who left her baby on the doorstep of a
well-intentioned couple.
