Oddly, it's the only song that doesn't seem to be listed with all the
other songs in the movies credits.
Anybody know who did the song and better yet who played the guitar?
Thanks.

It's Nancy Wilson & Heart doing the Theme From Jerry Maguire (also called "We
Meet Again"). It's on the soundtrack, and IMHO, it's one of the best on it --
definitely a soundtrack to get.

Actually, it's just Nancy Wilson. Nancy is married to Cameron Crowe
(since '87) the writer, director and producer of Jerry Maguire. And I
agree, it's a great song with great guitar work. Cameron mentioned in
an interview that he got his favorite acoustic guitar player to do
some songs for the movie. :-)

That was a beautiful song, the guitar playing very reminiscent of Leonard
Cohen or Jim Croce in their better moments - in fact, a stylistic copy.
Second music question: Nancy Wilson was listed as the Music Director in
the credits. Is this the old girl who has been singing such good jazz for
so long? She would be in her 60's at least.
And while I'm at it, third music question: Am I mistaken, or is there no
Miles Davis on the Miles Davis tape the Nanny/Au Pair/Child Technician
gives to Jerry? Sounded like pure Mingus to me.

The Nancy Wilson listed as Music Director is the same Nancy Wilson
that contributed the Jerry Maguire Theme (We Meet Again) and Sandy to
the soundtrack. She is the wife of the writer/director/producer of
Jerry Maguire, Cameron Crowe. She is also best known as being the
blonde sister in the rock group Heart where she is a
guitarist/songwriter/singer. She is also working on a solo album as
well as an album with a group called The Lovemongers which includes
Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Frank Cox & Sue Ennis (who co-wrote many
Heart songs).

I tremendously enjoy MasonBarge's wry sense of humour, so much so that I'm
not quite sure if this article was tongue-in-cheek or not. (If it is,
I've been suckered.)
If not, no, Nancy Wilson, the music director for JERRY MAGUIRE, is
actually the guitarist and occasional vocalist for the pop/rock group
Heart ("Alone", "What About Love", "Crazy On You", "Barracuda", "These
Dreams", etc.) She is also, more notably, Mrs. Cameron Crowe.
