In '40s Mississippi (by way of Memphis) a kid gets his musical catechism
from Negro spirituals, on his way to becoming The King. Writer-director
Baz Luhrmann (as usual) pulls out all the stops in his flashy bio of
ELVIS. Fast-paced even at 2-1/2 hours, Luhrmann's extravaganza pays
equal, ample tribute to the phenomenon, the legend, and, if you're in
the mood for it, the man. Well recommended.

He probably wishes Elvis had lived longer.

Could be worse ... he could do a real-time biography movie starting
with Elvis' birth. That would mean 42 years sitting in a cinema
watching it. ;-)
Weird, "42" is also the Hitchhiker's Guide "the meaning of life, the
universe, and everything". :-)

I think you're trying to be funny but in point of fact the movie glossed
over his death probably because Baz felt it was long enough at that point.
