RENEE ZELLWEGER: in DAZED? Where?

I think I may have gotten RENEE ZELLWEGER mixed up with another actress.
She is credited as being in DAZED & CONFUSED, and I thought she was the
girl who was also in MALLRATS, but that is a different actress named
Joey Lauren Adams.

I have not seen DAZED & CONFUSED but being filmed in Texas I don't
doubt the reports she's in in.
She is also in REALITY BITES in a non-speaking role. She is onscreen
for about 7 seconds as the girl that E. Hawke walks out on the morning
after at the beginning of the film, just after their graduation.

You are right; Renee is not in DAZED & CONFUSED. Where did you get your
information that she is?

Yes, Renee Zellweger is in DAZED for a split-second, but I would have to
watch it again to recall exactly where.

When Zellweger was signed to do JERRY MAGUIRE, Variety and The Hollywood
Reporter both listed DAZED & CONFUSED as her most prominent resume item as
of that time

Renee was up for the part of Shavonne, but lost out to another actress.
Her similarity to Joey Adams was one reason she wasn't chosen.
Technically she "isn't in the movie" because she didn't have any lines,
but she's there, all right. She has a featured extra role, most notably
as the girl who prompts Matthew McConaughey's line "That's what I like
about these High School Girls: I get older but they stay the same age."
