That's the same chart they play in the Rose Parade every year as the
Composite USMC Band...made up of all the USMC bands in SoCal. I know
everyone here has seen 'em on TV (and they kick the hell out of it in
that medium, doncha know) but, WOW, you ought check that group out in
person: UNFOOKINGREAL! The crowd LEAPS up and stands at attention
(while screaming, of course...)!

When I was still marching, we were lining up for a parade in the
Quarter and we hear this HUGE wall of sound ............we go look and
it was a Marine D&BC of 16 horns and 4
drummers....................Yea, sure, Bb are as loud as G ( sarcasm )

But they don't exist as that's not enough members to compete in either
DCI or DCA. ( sarcasm )

Just recruit (and double your budget) ( sarcasm )

Love my military brethren. Bear in mind that at a lot of the ceremonies
performed at by these groups, they have to play louder than the C4 and
other sounds going on around them. And by around them I mean that
they're 1/2 the distance from the source than the audience is. If not
closer.
