Cypress Creek High in Orlando, Florida
Mr. Steve Visnage and Mr. Clif Walker, the current Director and Assistant
Director will not be returning this fall. If you are interested in further
information concerning these job openings, please contact Steve Visnage
(svis...@aol.com).
I had thought of interviewing for this, Jacki, and I even talked with
Steve about it yesterday, but I have decided to stick with Taravella, even
if it means teaching a non-music class. There is just too much good here,
and I have grown attached to many of those kids that remind me so much of
myself a dozen years ago.
Tell Steve I said sorry, and I wish you guys the best of luck finding
someone as talented and driven as he was.

He is the Director of Bands at the School for the Arts at Cypress Lake.
Your kids there are lucky to have you :)
Thanks for considering it...CCHS has had a lot of ups and downs...one major
"down" being the changeover in directors that occurs with alarming frequency.
I think that there have been 5 in the past six years? Something to that
effect? The kids overcome a lot - and keep on going - improving steadily.
Steve and Clif have done incredible work this past year, esp. with the Wind
Ensemble, jazz group and percussion team...
Would have been nice to see your face in CCHS's halls, but I understand your
decision....
Best of luck, NIkk!!!
Jacki
I agree - esp. in regards to Clif Walker. His zeal for percussion has hit a
chord with my youngest daughter. She really has found her calling, thanks to
Clif.
